Recording rule types
The type of recording rules you can create depends on your video camera model and what other devices are associated with your system. You can create camera-triggered or system-triggered recording rules. What’s the difference?
- Camera-triggered clips include:
- Video motion detection
- Wired input/output
- System-triggered clips
- Alarm
- Sensor opened/closed
- System armed/disarmed
- Entry delay
- Lock activity
- Record Now button triggers
- For Wi-Fi Doorbell Cameras, can have recording rules based on a doorbell call and doorbell motion detection.
- Garage door opened or closed
To create a recording rule:
- Log into your Beeyond Smart Home Alarm.com portal.
- Click Video.
- Click Recording Rules.
- Click + Add Rule.
- Click to select the type of rule to create.
- Enter a name for the recording rule.
- Configure the rule settings as desired. Rule settings depend on which rule is being created.
- In Video Clip Recipients, click + Add Recipient if you want to receive notifications.
- Click to select the entries in the Address book to be notified, or click + New to add a new Address Book entry.
- Click Close.
- Verify the recording rule is configured with the desired settings.
- Click Save Rule.
To edit a recording rule:
- Log into your Beeyond Smart Home Alarm.com portal.
- Click Video.
- Click Recording Rules.
- Click
on the recording rule to edit.
- Adjust the recording rule as desired. Rule settings depend on which rule is being created.
- Click Save Rule.
